How will loss of inland ice affect Greenland communities?
Fri, Nov 10
|Nuuk Center
Kalaallit Nunaat Qaffappoq! Loss of inland ice is causing sea level to fall around much of Greenland. As the ice melts the land rises back up without the ice pushing it down.

Time and location
Nov 10, 2023, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Nuuk Center, Nuuk Center, Nuuk 3900, Greenland
About the event
The falling sea level will affect fishing, ports, shipping areas and where large and small boats can travel. In Greenland we have been measuring the change, mapping the ocean bottom, and meeting with the people to learn where they would like us to map, so we can help Greenland communities plan for the next 50 to 80 years.
