Since the tsunami that flooded the settlements of Nuugaatsiaq and Illorsuit on 17 June 2017, efforts have taken place to build monitoring and warning systems in the area.

About the event

The workshop aims to discuss the causes and risk of new rock slides, how best to prevent or mitigate the consequences of future disasters, build an appropriate preparedness, and best carry out rescue operations, and develop an effective societal security policy. Participation by self government authorities and Arctic Command.
