About the event

Join Cultural Heritage researcher Maya Sialuk Jacobsen at the national musuem on a guided tour through the Thule Culture exhibition and learn about the tattooing patterns and their connection to religion, myth and worldview of the Inuit. We will look at skin embroideries and ornamentation on hunting tools, household utensils, and masks. The tour ends by the Qilakitsoq mummies where we can see an actual tattoo created in the 1400s. Duration 1 hour. Two groups of max 15 pers.
