As Greenland’s second-largest town and home to the country’s leading technical institutions, Sisimiut is a dynamic centre where science, entrepreneurship, local culture and traditions meet.

Under the Greenland Science Week theme “All Eyes on Greenland”, this year’s local program explores how innovation and research can support Sisimiut’s strong spirit of enterprise and help shape Greenland’s future — sustainably and creatively. ​

Join this trip around Sisimiut and visit Tech College Greenland, Arctic DTU and experience some of their many tech/sustainable research projects

7 pm: Innovation: A panel discussion in Taseralik

NOV 7:

A panel discussion between scientists, educators, business owners and the local community in culture house Taseralik. Sisimiut has been renowned in Greenland for its entrepreneurship. How do we stay entrepreneurial and how can scientists help with this.

1-5 pm: World Heritage festival in Taseralik: Building the future together

NOV 8:

Aasivissuit-Nipisat World Heritage site invites scientists, locals, hunters, fishermen, and tourism operators to take part in shaping the future of our outstanding cultural World Heriatge site. After five years of learning and development, we’re ready to move forward — from finding our footing to building the future. Join us to hear the latest updates and share your input on how the site can grow as a meaningful and sustainable destination.
